【摘要】:Therigidityofapolyolefinwebcanaffectitsmachinability,particularlyonthosepackagingmachineswhereacutportionofawebisrequiredtoremainflatmomentarilywithoutbeingsupportedonallsides.Rigidityisnotasimplepropertysinceitdependsontwootherpropertiesofthesample:thethickness(gauge),andthestiffnesswhichisaninherentpropertyofthematerialofwhichthefilmorsheetismade.Thecombinedeffectofthesetwofactorsistherigiditythatinfluencesperformanceonconvertingmachines.1.1Thistestmethoddescribestwoproceduresformeasuringtherigidityofpolyolefinfilmandsheeting.1.2ProcedureAprescribesaprocedureusinghigh-voltagestaticeliminatorsandtheuseofTFE-fluorocarbon-coatedplatestoovercomethespuriouseffectsofstaticelectricityandfriction.1.3ProcedureBprescribestheuseofafinepowderonuncoatedplatestoachieveasimilareffect.Note1Althoughthetwoproceduresaredesignedtoachievesimilareffect,theymaynotachievethesameresults.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note2ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
