【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiesrequirementsfortwogradesofone-component,rapidsettingadhesives,eachgradehavingthreetypes.Thegradesofadhesivesarethefollowing.GradeE—basedonethylcyanoacrylate.GradeM—basedonmethylcyanoacrylate.Thetypesofethylandmethylcyanoacrylateadhesivesarethefollowing.Type1—lowviscosityadhesive.Type2—mediumviscosityadhesive.Type3—highviscosityadhesive.NOTEThemajorityofcyanoacrylateadhesivesusedinindustryarebasedonethylandmethylcyanoacrylateester.Theethylderivativeisthemostwidelyusedandisrecommendedforgeneral-purposeapplications,particularlywhererubberandplasticsareinvolved.Themethylhomologuegivesstrongerbondstometalandgenerallyshowsmoreresistancetosolventattack.Thetwotypesarenotnecessarilyinterchangeable.
