【摘要】:TheWebsterhardnessgageisportableandthereforeusefulforinsitudeterminationofthehardnessoffabricatedpartsandindividualtestspecimensforproductioncontrolpurposes.ItisnotassensitiveasRockwellorBrinellhardnessmachines;see10.2.Thistestmethodshouldbeusedonlyascitedinapplicablematerialspecifications.FIG.1WebsterHardnessGage,ModelB1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofindentationhardnessofaluminumalloyswithaWebsterhardnessgage,ModelB.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note1Twoothermodels,AandB-75,areinuse,butarenotcoveredinthistestmethod.ModelAdoesnotprovidenumericalvaluesofhardnessandModelB-75coversonlyapartoftherangeofinterestforaluminumalloys.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
